TYPES OF PROGRAMS
PRIVATE TOURS AND SMALL GROUP PROGRAMS
are one to multi-day educational field tours led by our expert naturalist guides. They offer the flexibility to meet the needs and interests of your group, and may include lodging at our Yellowstone Overlook Field Campus. Lodging and tours available this summer!
FIELD SEMINARS are educational experiences that go deep! Taught by researchers, field biologists, and other experts, field seminars focus on specific subjects such as predator/prey relationships, park vegetation, illustrating the wild, and wildlife watching.
LODGING AND LEARNING PROGRAMS mix just the right amount of education and recreation on your vacation. You’ll be based at park hotels and taught by naturalist guides who are intimately familiar with Yellowstone.
BACKPACKING COURSES take you on a learning adventure in the vast wilderness of the Yellowstone area. Designed to be both light on the land and educational, backpacking courses are taught by a professional outdoor leader and a content expert.
PLACES TO STAY
LAMAR BUFFALO RANCH FIELD CAMPUS
Located in the park’s quiet northeast corner far from other development, Lamar offers rustic lodging and a communal learning environment. Cabins are available for Lamar-based field seminars.
YELLOWSTONE OVERLOOK FIELD CAMPUS Located 1.5 miles above Gardiner and on the park’s northern boundary, the Overlook is perfect for groups. Combine Private Tours with lodging at the Overlook for an unforgettable vacation.
